A bit history of Kilimanjaro Safari

Walt Disney thought that attractions could be compared to movies, with a beginning, a middle, and an end. When a guest decides to go see a movie (or a Disney attraction), they expect to see the same show, to receive the same information. Everyone would be shocked if the projectionist decided, for example, to accelerate the speed of the film because he wanted to go home, or decided to slow down the film to better appreciate his favorite passage …

“Jungle Cruise” was the first attraction with a narration performed by a guide in real time. When this attraction opened at Disneyland in 1955, the decision was made to write the narrative in a storyline, so that all Cast-Members tell the same story each time. Indeed, Walt thought that no matter the time of day, no matter the Cast-Member, and no matter if the CM had already told the story several times in the day, it had to be always the same.

Guests boarding for the Kilimanjaro Safaris attraction expect to receive the same show quality as the guests who made the attraction at another time of the day.
