CM: "We're at the Rock 'n Roller Coaster over at MGM. We need an alpha unit over at our unload."
911 Operator: "O-kaaay... I'm sorry, your name again?
... (edit)
911 Operator: "A phone number I can reach you at, please."
CM: "Ummm..."
... (edit)
911 Operator: "Tell me what the problem is, exactly what happened."
CM: "Um, I don't know exactly. I'm in another area but I was told to call an alpha unit immediately."
(Someone off the phone, yelling): "Tell the alpha unit to come!"
911 Operator: "OK, you have no idea what's going on there?"
CM: "Sorry."
(More off-phone talk)
911 Operator: "OK, you know if we can get some information..."
(more off-phone talk between the CM and another there at the attraction)
(CM, off the phone, can be heard asking others for more about what happened...)
CM: "...yeah, what is the problem?"
Someone else near her: "...there is a little boy passed out on the train. He's over here at unload."
CM, to 911 Operator: "OK, a little boy passed out on the train."
911 Operator: "Is he still unconscious and is he breathing?"
CM, to the other person near her: "Uh, is he still unconscious and is he breathing?"
(noise off the phone, answering her.)
CM: "He's still unconscious right now."
911 Operator: "Okay. (pause) Is he, uh, is he breathing?"
CM, talks to the other person nearby, then says into the phone: "...someone is doing CPR on him right now."
911 Operator: "I'm sorry?"
CM: "Someone is doing CPR on him right now."
(Sounds of alarms/signals of some sort.)
911 Operator: "Is there a phone that's close enough to that, that child? Is there a phone close to that child?"
CM: "Ah, uh... (off the phone, asks about that) Yes, there's a pho..."
[sounds like an edit here]
911 Operator: "That's the number right there?"
CM: "Yes, that's the number for... (unintelligble)"
911 Operator: "OK. Will somebody answer if I call that?"
CM: "Um, they should answer it."
911 Operator: "I'm going to call them. Um, what is - um, what is -- if I can't get them I'm going to call you back. OK?"
CM: "OK, no problem."
911 Operator: "OK, thank you."
(Call is hung up. Phone call sounds, including busy signal, then ringing...)
CM: (Answers, but I can't make out what she said.)
911 Operator: "This is 911. That number I tried calling, it was busy."
CM: "They didn't answer?"
911 Operator: "They didn't -- it was busy."
CM: "OK"
911 Operator: "Alright. So this is what I need to d911 Operator: Um, you have regular contact with somebody there, right?"
CM: "Yes."
911 Operator: "Alright, we want to make sure they have a defibrillator, if there's an AED available.
(AED is "Automated External Defibrillator")
CM: "OK"
911 Operator: "Alright. Find out if there is one available."
(Sound off a male off the phone: The meeting's over. Hold on. ...Tell them... the Guests, take everybody out through the front room."
CM: "OK. No problem."
(Long pause.)
CM: "Alright, they're not answering."
CM, off the phone: "...would you answer, is there a defibrillator over there?"
Nearby male CM: "A what?"
CM, off the phone: "A defibrillator."
Nearby male CM: (Long pause...) "A defibrillator?"
CM, off the phone: "Yeah."
911 Operator: "AED"
CM, on the phone: "Ah, no. The answer is no."
911 Operator: "Alright. (pause) Alright, how old is he? Do we have an idea?"
CM, off the phone: "...how old is the child? About ten?"
CM, on the phone: "About ten."
911 Operator: "Alright. And they're by him now? Doing CPR, is that correct?"
CM: "...they're administering CPR."
(Very noisy, with someone saying something about "outside.")
CM: (very noisy) "...breathing."
911 Operator:" "I'm sorry?"
(Very noisy, someone there saying "You got that?")
CM: "As he got off the ride, apparently, his eyes were wide open but he was completely limp."
911 Operator: "Okay, is he still being -- CPR is still being done on him?"
CM: (off the phone) "CPR is still being done on him?" "I believe so, say yes" (says someone off the phone) (then on the phone) "I believe so."
911 Operator: "Okay. Alright."
(Lots of commotion near the CM's phone, someone says "outside" and "put him on the wrong one" and "911 we have an emergency, do you know what it is?" then more noise)
911 Operator: "Yes, I am."
(More loud conversation on the CM's end of the phone)
911 Operator: "It's still busy. We have a busy number. If there's anybody on that phone could you call them and tell them to get off their phone?"
(CM tells someone nearby to ask the other person to get off that other phone.)
CM: "Okay, they're gonna ask them to get off the phone."
911 Operator: "Okay. I'm gonna keep on, on with you until my partner can get through there."
CM: "OK"
911 Operator: "Alright. (pause) Ask the-- would you ask them for an update on the situation. Is he still doing CPR? Is he still unconscious? Still not bleeding?"
CM (off the phone) "Can you give me an update on the situation?
Male CM, off the phone: "Um, Reedy Creek just got here,(unintelligle), they're working on the child."
CM: "Okay, Reedy Creek just got there and they're working on the child."
911 Operator: "Alright, thank you very much, you've been a good help."
CM: "Thank you so much."
911 Operator: "Bye."
CM: "Bye."
